    The Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join our team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

    The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions.     Responsibilities:

    For appointments hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track:
    Provide outpatient clinical care for patients in general Pediatric allergy clinics and inpatient attending and consultations for patients with relevant problems admitted to the American Family Children's Hospital.

    Teach to a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Teaching can occur within the classroom, small groups, and lectures, as well as in the delivery of clinical care.

    Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest to the candidate and the division.

    The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

    Education:

    Required
    Terminal Degree
    MD, DO, or equivalent

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required.
    • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Allergy-Immunology is required.
    • Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.

    For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion to Associate Professor or Professor on the CHS Track.

    License/certification:

    • Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics is
      required.
    • Board certification or board eligibility in Allergy-Immunology through the American Board of Allergy Immunology is required.
    • Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin medical licensure.
    • Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
