Guthrie is seeking a visionary leader to direct and advance its recently established Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.

• Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology with a strong commitment to clinical and academic excellence.
• Dedicated clinician-educator with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of physicians.
• Prior Program Leadership Experience Preferred: Experience as a Program Director or Associate Program Director is highly valued.
• Established Academic Background: Minimum of 3 years serving as active faculty within an academic or training environment.
• Licensure Eligibility: Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania and New York.
• Collaborative Leader: Demonstrated strength in program administration, team building, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven ability to engage effectively with learners, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Scholarly Engagement: Experience with publications or academic research preferred, reflecting a commitment to advancing the field.
• Nationally Recognized, Quality-Driven Program: Practice within a cancer program accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, with plans to pursue QOPI certification—reflecting a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, outcomes-driven care
• Access to Cutting-Edge Clinical Trials: Contribute to a growing research program with nearly 30 active oncology clinical trials, including participation with Alliance and pending NRG membership, allowing you to offer innovative therapies close to home
• Advanced, Comprehensive Treatment Capabilities: Support for complex cases through a robust interventional radiology service line, including ablation and TACE—ensuring a full spectrum of oncologic care in one system
• Top-Tier EPIC Infrastructure: Work within a fully integrated EPIC environment across all care settings—including the OR—in a 10-Star system ranked among the top 1% of EPIC users nationally
• Strong Multidisciplinary Support Model: Deliver truly patient-centered care with access to a dedicated full-time Palliative Care consultation service and a collaborative oncology care team
• Elite Fellowship Outcomes: 100th percentile (Medical Oncology) and 97th percentile (Hematology) on ITEs—exceptional performance for a program under three years old.
• Dedicated Leadership Support: 0.3 FTE protected administrative time to lead, develop, and manage the program effectively.
