Position Highlights:
- Collegial group practice with a large referral base
- Team of 2 Physicians and 2 dedicated Advanced Practitioners
- Excellent state of the art Epic EMR system
- Provides comprehensive care to a selected population of patients in the specialty
- Performs age-appropriate physical assessments, evaluation and treatment for primary care patient base seeking services from the organization
- Takes history, including chief complaint, presenting illness, past medical history and interval history. Performs age-appropriate physical exam as it relates to chief complaint
- Orders lab studies when indicated. Identifies differential diagnosis. Assesses the severity of patient’s illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in history and physical in order to establish a diagnosis. Perform tests and procedures as directed by diagnosis
- Establishes age-appropriate plan of care related to patient’s identified problem, including medication, diet, therapeutic procedures, etc. Consults with other health team members regarding proposed treatment guidelines as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must have National Board Certification
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, Masters level preferred
- Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate
- 1-2 years Urology work experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in EMR systems & technology
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
