Key Responsibilities & Expectations

• Perform timely, efficient patient evaluations and multi-task effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Practice proficiency in core clinical procedures:
• Suture and staple laceration repairs
• Incision & Drainage (I&D) of abscesses
• Pelvic exams
• Plain X-ray interpretations

Facility & Emergency Department Details

• The Hospital: Adventist Health Simi Valley is a 140-bed community hospital, Primary Stroke Center, and STEMI Center.
• The ED: A modern, 18-bed Emergency Department handling an annual volume of 40,000 patients.
• On-Site Resources: 24/7 access to ultrasound, CT scanner, and 24/7 radiologist interpretation of CTs.
• Specialty Support: Access to several on-call specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: 1 to 2 years of post-graduate ER or urgent care experience.
• Skills: Ability to work efficiently alongside board-certified ER physicians in a collaborative environment.
