- Eleven (11) surrounding Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)
Full-Time (6.0 FTE)
Base Period: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026
With four (4) optional one-year extensions
The selected physicians will provide high-quality, on-site primary care services to eligible Veterans at the MEDVAMC and/or one of its 11 CBOCs. This role is critical to maintaining continuity and quality of care, requiring commitment to service standards aligned JC, and professional guidelines.
- Deliver direct primary care services to veterans during scheduled clinic hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM).
- Maintain continuity of care, ensuring minimal disruption due to provider absences.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Follow all VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain up-to-date credentials, certifications, and complete mandatory VA training.
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- License: Active, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
- Certification:
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA (ACLS preferred).
- Experience: Prefer prior experience working with veteran or underserved populations.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Current CV with all gaps explained
- Copy of medical license and DEA certificate
- Board certification/eligibility documentation
- BLS (and ACLS if available) certification
- OIG and SAM search results
- Three professional references with emails
- Proof of address (must be within 90 miles or physician must be willing to relocate)

Signed letter of availability/commitment
- Providers must be able to report to any of the 11 CBOC sites as needed.
- The contractor is responsible for providing alternate coverage during absences.
- OPPE reviews will occur every 9 months to assess care quality and compliance.
