Instructor Opportunity to work with Community Health Aides in Arctic Alaska

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

We currently have an opening for a perm physician assistant or nurse practitioner in Northwest Alaska. The advanced practice provider (PA/NP) will be responsible for the training and clinical supervision of about 60 Community Health Aides in various Alaska Native villages across NW Alaska.

OVERVIEW:

• Permanent Hire opportunity, 2 year minimum commitment.
• about 70% Administrative/Teaching, 30% Clinical.
• Schedule is Monday - Friday, sometimes with call when traveling to villages.
• This position will require provider to live in Northwest Alaska for the majority of the year.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

• Pay: $140,000 - $160,000 DOE
• Housing opportunities at below rental market rate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of clinical experience.
• Experience with CHAP program preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Inupiaq (Alaska Native) culture, language and customs preferred.
• Must have a positive outlook, able to interact with a diverse group of customers/sipplies.
• Dependable, open, honest, compassionate.
• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License with State of Alaska. (Provider can start work with any state license)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS recommended
• Active DEA Registration
