The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic orthopedic surgery team at Banner Fort Collins Medical Center and Banner North Colorado Medical Center - Loveland Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA with orthopedic skills to work alongside our highly trained Orthopedic Surgeons in a well-established, busy practice.

You'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive orthopedic care, with 80% of cases focused on hip and joint procedures and some sports medicine. As a Physician Assistant on our team, you'll divide your time between hospital rounds, outpatient clinic visits, and providing surgical first assist in the OR—offering diverse clinical experiences and the chance to develop your expertise across the full continuum of orthopedic care.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and manage patients with general orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for orthopedic patients
  • Perform orthopedic-focused examinations, injections, and minor procedures
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Deliver patient education and coordinate follow-up care

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certification as a Physician Assistant
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado
  • Prescribing privileges including DEA license for controlled substances
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Experienced PA with orthopedic skills preferred (orthopedic generalist/trauma)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Practice Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday | 3 days clinic, 2 days OR
  • Team: 10 Physicians, 14 APPs, dedicated MAs, and support staff
  • Call: 3-8 days per month
  • Compensation: $131,000 - $156,000K base + call pay (based on experience)
