University of Miami Medical Group Staff Physician - General Internal Medicine

The Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Physician. Provide world class, high quality primary care in an ambulatory clinic in accordance with UHealth policies and standards of practice.

Job Functions:

  • Delivers care appropriate for a primary care clinic with a multicultural adult patient population

  • Engagement in scholarly activities and institutional service are also essential parts of the position, including clinical research, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; participation in quality improvement and systems compliance initiatives; and Division, Departmental, Medical School and University-wide service

  • Maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations

  • 9 half-day sessions per week

  • Involved in clinical/educational activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and the ambulatory resident clinic

  • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency

  • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)

  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques

  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements

  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care

  • Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)

  • Valid DEA licensure
