The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a full-time, board-certified Adult or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide mental health treatment at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh, PA.
The mission of the Behavioral Health Institute is to serve all members of our community, including the underserved. Join a multi-disciplinary team providing essential mental health services to an overlooked population. Provide evidence-based treatments and measurement-based care.
Job Highlights:
- Regular and predictable schedules, with excellent support staff on-hand
- Treat a wide variety of cases and levels of care, with ample opportunity for patient education and follow-ups
- Perform psychiatric evaluations, and provide psychiatric consultation and treatment for inmates
- Work collaboratively with the mental health staff, medical staff and pharmacy staff to ensure delivery of high quality, reliable mental health treatment
- Opportunity to supervise senior psychiatry residents on elective rotations as interested, but not required
- Exempt from billing and RVU requirements
- Full spectrum Addiction Medicine and Primary Care teams on site full-time
Qualifications:
- New graduates or experienced physicians welcome to apply
- Completion of ACGME approved Psychiatry Residency
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
