Cardiothoracic Surgeon in MO- Up to 2 weeks per month available

• Coverage needed:
• June 1(7a)-5(7a) and June 8(7a)-18(7a)
• Ongoing 2 weeks per month
• Call: 24-hour call
• Compensation:
• Call stipend: $3500/day including 6 hours
• Call-back: $350/hr
• Credentialing: Emergency privileges available (2 weeks with clean file)

Program & Volume

• Open Heart program restarted; volumes trending up
• Projected ~100 hearts/year
• Current month:
• 5 open-heart consults
• 2–5 STEMIs/month
• Case mix includes CABG, valves, thoracic (Bread and Butter)

Staffing & Support

• Cardiology:
• 3 Interventional Cardiology (4th joining soon)
• 2 General Cardiology
• 1 EP
• Surgery:
• EP and Vascular Surgeon on staff
• APP Support: PA & NP assist with vein harvesting and ICU rotation
• Surgeon covers POD 1 call; APPs thereafter
• Perfusion: In-house/on-call 24/7
• Pulm/CC: In house coverage days- on call at night

• Brand-new open-heart OR
• Dedicated ICU & CVICU
• Cath lab, cardiac rehab, CT surgery capability
• Illuminate AI technology in use

Schedule

• Clinic: Thursdays only
• Otherwise OR and call-based

Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible CT Surgery
• Minimum 50 cases/year
• Strong CT & open-heart experience
• No active malpractice claims to be considered for Emergency Privs
