Duke Radiology invites applications to join our Breast Imaging team. The Breast Imaging Division of the Duke University Department of Radiology is seeking a full-time or part-time, fellowship-trained breast radiologist. Duke Radiologys Community Division provides comprehensive breast imaging services throughout Wake County, North Carolina.
The Community Division of Duke Breast Imaging supports Duke Raleigh Hospital, as well as Duke Healths rapidly expanding primary care network and ambulatory imaging centers.
Dukes Community Breast Radiologists practice in close collaboration with the academic radiology divisions at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. This position offers a more traditional private-practice experience at Duke Raleigh Hospital and surrounding ambulatory imaging centers.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be breast fellowship-trained and demonstrate proficiency in screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast interventions.
- Candidates must be ABR-eligible or ABR-certified, have completed a diagnostic radiology residency, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include all aspects of diagnostic and interventional breast radiology, including screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound-guided biopsy, MRI-guided biopsy, and image-guided wire and seed localization procedures.
- If not already proficient, candidates must be willing to learn new state-of-the-art breast imaging modalities, including contrast-enhanced mammography, ultra-fast breast MRI, abbreviated MRI (Ab-MRI), and other technologies as they come online.
- Coverage of breast imaging, as it expands into evening and weekend service.
- No general radiology coverage is required, unless desired by the applicant.
- No academic, research, or teaching responsibilities are required, unless desired by the applicant.
