Sound is seeking an energetic Chief to join our partnership with Piedmont Columbus Regional – Midtown Campus! Piedmont is ideally looking for someone who wants to partner with the Chief of Surgery, nursing staff, CMO, and COO to continue to grow the services offered to the Columbus and surrounding communities.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of six physicians and twenty-eight CRNAs at Piedmont Columbus Midtown.
  • Work alongside our diverse, cohesive team driven by a shared mission to support one another genuinely.
  • Founded in 1836, Piedmont Columbus Regional is a leading healthcare provider in west Georgia, serving the Columbus, Ga. area with a network of health and medical services through its two hospital campuses.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified/eligible in anesthesia.
  • Experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Flexible Scheduling:

  • We offer a healthy work-life balance.
  • Physicians will split a mixture of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, mainly a Monday–Friday schedule with one weekend per month.
  • Every 4th week off. 13 weeks off annually.
  • No call.
  • No nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight for the Anesthesiology team.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement protocols to maintain best practices in anesthesia care.
  • Manage level II trauma patients, OB/GYN, pediatrics, neuro, orthopedic, and general.
  • We have a full-staffed, dedicated OB CRNA team that is the primary call-taking clinician for anything OB-related.  This gives the physician more breathing room to cover the main OR and any emergency case that comes in.
  • Manage department scheduling, ensuring optimal staff coverage for surgical and non-surgical anesthesia services.
  • Stay current on advancements in anesthesia practices and lead continuing education efforts for the team.

Compensation Details

Rewards and Benefits: * Compensation: $625k annual compensation + $50k annual bonus (1099) – guaranteed for 3 years * + W2 and 1099 options available * Benefits: * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. * 401k with matching contributions. * Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. * Generous scheduled time off up to 13 weeks a year. * Annual CME allowance.
