South Shore Hospital is a vibrant urban 374-bed community hospital and level 2 Trauma center providing world-class quality care throughout the South Shore. This is done, alongside our collaborative agreements with Boston's teaching hospitals which include; surgeons from Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, MGB and Oncologic services through Dana Farber Cancer Institute. South Shore Health provides training location for local Nurse Anesthesia programs and strongly believes in investing and training future Nurse Anesthetists.

South Shore Health Department of Anesthesia offers a diverse and collegial inter-professional team approach and is dedicated to providing excellent high quality anesthetic care. Our Nurse Anesthetists are an integral part of the care team and are utilized to the full extent of their skills and training. South Shore Health offers a diverse case mix including vascular, ortho, general, gyn, thoracic, neuro, healthy peds, and obstetric. No anesthesia residents.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health provides residents south of Boston with the highest level of advanced cancer care and support in the region. Experts from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and South Shore Hospital collaborate to offer many advanced treatments locally, including radiation therapy, medical oncology, surgical oncology, clinical trials, advanced diagnostic imaging, a Multidisciplinary Clinic and Breast Care Center.
