    The Role: High-Volume, High-Acuity Practice

    As a Nurse Practitioner in our 24-bed CICU (average daily census of 20), you will provide direct care and assume clinical management for our most critically ill cardiac patients. Our unit performs over 500 heart surgeries and nearly 700 cardiac catheterization procedures annually.

    Key Practice Areas & Responsibilities:

    • Independent Practice: Assuming independent and interdependent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, and evaluation of outcomes for acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
    • Procedural Skills: Performing necessary procedures as part of the critical care team.
    • Specialized Expertise: Functioning as an expert provider in the management of patients requiring Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) and other complex critical care interventions.
    • Collaborative Management: Jointly sharing patient care responsibilities with pediatric critical care fellows, ensuring a robust, collaborative approach.
    • Beyond the Bedside: Contributing to education, consultation, research, and evaluation of clinical practice at various levels.

    Compensation Details

    $140-205k

    Shift Premium: Eligibility for an off-shift premium of 12%, which can increase total annual compensation by an additional $16,971.48 to $24,960.36.
