  • Atlantic Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Cardiology team.

    This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with nationally recognized cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams in providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to a diverse patient population.

    The APP will play a vital role in patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, consultations, and follow-up evaluations.
    • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
    • Evaluate diagnostic studies, laboratory results, and cardiac imaging.
    • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures.
    • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
    • Prescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
    • Coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure continuity of treatment.
    • Educate patients and families regarding cardiac disease prevention, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
    • Participate in cardiovascular procedures and patient management as appropriate.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

    Qualifications Required

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
    • Current New Jersey licensure or eligibility for licensure.
    • BLS and ACLS certification.
    • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    Preferred

    • Critical Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, or Hospital Medicine experience.
    • Experience with arterial line and central line placement.
    • Inpatient cardiology experience.
    • Interest in managing complex cardiovascular patient populations.
