We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. ANocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 28 physicians as we add two Nurse Practitioners to our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
  • Work alongside the Nocturnist physician on service.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board-certified/eligible Nurse Practitioner with an active NP license or eligible to become licensed in Alaska.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply—completion of training, board certification, and unrestricted APRN license to be granted before the start of employment.

**Practice in the Heart of the Community**

Scheduling:

  • Enjoy a consistent 7-day on/7-day off, 9 pm-5 am schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role of the Nurse Practitioner within our team is to provide cross-coverage on night shifts and assist in overflow admissions alongside the Nocturnist physician.
  • At Providence Alaska Medical Center, our physicians practice the full breadth of adult medicine, including general medical wards and surgical consults. We have an ICU that is fully supported by intensivists who practice within the same group, The Alaska Hospitalist Group.
  • Providence Alaska Medical Center is supported by multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and ob/gyn. Interventional Radiology services are also available.
  • In addition to Providence Alaska Medical Center, the staffing model with The Alaska Hospitalist Group also includes hospitalist services at Central Peninsula Hospital, St. Elias Specialty Hospital, and Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
