About the Job
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Division of Hematology Oncology is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our well-established Bone Marrow Transplant Cell-Therapy program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Our program is the region's only adult, Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)-accredited program for autologous transplant, allogeneic transplant, and cellular immunotherapy. We give patients with cancers affecting the blood or immune system and other disorders access to life-saving treatment options not otherwise available in our region.
Our research engine, Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Washington, D.C. region.
This position is full-time (1.0FTE) and is solely in the inpatient setting. The bone marrow treatment service is a primary admitting so the nurse practitioner would be managing inpatient care.
* Work schedule is 3 weekdays and most weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
* Round with physicians daily and stay on the unit to execute orders
* Respond to nursing care needs, and provide basic support to the stem cell transplant and cellular immunotherapy program
* Work with a specialized group of malignant hematologists and bone marrow transplant physicians
The NP in this role will be responsible for writing follow-up/subsequent chemotherapy orders, performing bone marrow biopsies. The ideal candidate will have a chemotherapy card and inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider. New graduates will be considered if they have a strong desire to work in the cutting-edge field of stem cell transplant and cellular immunotherapy. Interested candidates will also have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with administrative and physician support. Qualifications:
- Completion and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner
- CPR certification
- Eligible for Maryland and DC licenses
- Experienced preferred in bone marrow biopsies and intrathecal chemotherapy, but not required

Compensation Details
$115K–$190K
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
