Job Summary: Advanced Recovery Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to lead the Medical and Psychiatric Services at the IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery. This one-of-a-kind facility is devoted exclusively to the mental health and recovery of professional fire service members facing PTSD, trauma, substance use, and other behavioral health challenges.

The Medical Director plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care. This position provides 24-hour oversight of medical services, partners closely with executive leadership, and contributes to the ongoing success and mission of saving the lives of those who protect others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour oversight and management of all medical and psychiatric services within the facility
  • Lead and supervise medical staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
  • Direct all medical activities in compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body regulations • Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team on daily operations and strategic initiatives • Partner with CMO/Associate CMO on clinical quality, metrics, and medical department performance • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures aligned with best practices • Ensure appropriate diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity of care for patients • Support a multidisciplinary approach to behavioral health and addiction treatment • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to compliance standards

Qualifications: • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution • Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or a related specialty preferred • Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) • Previous leadership or Medical Director experience strongly preferred • Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or trauma-informed care • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Commitment to serving first responders and understanding their unique needs

Compensation Details

$350K–$375K
