A Missouri cardiac surgery program needs an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is a low-volume, well-supported service built around adult cardiac cases — not a high-throughput or mixed vascular shop.

If you want predictable case load, strong APP backup, and a program that can start as early as October 2026, this is a clean fit.

• 3–5 cases per week — sustainable volume, not a grind
• Primarily cardiac — very little thoracic, no vascular
• Dedicated APP coverage and support for rounding, OR assist, and day-to-day workflow
• Ongoing gap coverage — not a one-off week
• Missouri license or IMLC compact license accepted
• Start as soon as October 2026 (credentialing-dependent)
• Adult cardiac surgery focus
• Typical mix: CABG, valve, and other bread-and-butter cardiac procedures
• Minimal thoracic volume
• No vascular requirement
• Inpatient surgical coverage with APP support already in place

Ideal for a surgeon who wants to stay sharp on cardiac work without a high-volume or broad CVT/vascular mandate.

• Ongoing locum need for gap coverage
• Low weekly case volume (3–5 cases)
• APP support on the service
• Specific block dates and call structure provided to qualified candidates
• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic / Thoracic Surgery, or truly Board Eligible (ABTS pathway — not loosely “eligible”)
• Active Missouri medical license or IMLC compact license / Letter of Qualification for Missouri
• Comfortable with adult cardiac surgery in a supported, lower-volume program
• Clean file preferred for timely privileging
