  • The Department of Cardiology at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking an experienced cardiologist who is BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation to join our team.

    We have a group of 6 staff physicians, 7 mid-level providers, and a 7th year advanced heart failure fellow. The Ochsner Advanced Heart Failure team currently performs approximately 65 LVAD implantations and 30 heart transplants per year. The candidate would join a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services, in addition to participating in a well-established and growing pulmonary hypertension Comprehensive Care Center. Furthermore, our Advanced Heart Failure cardiologists play an integral role in our growing multispecialty cardiogenic shock initiative. We are looking for someone that enjoys the academic environment, including working with fellows and residents on a regular basis.

    The Department of Cardiology at OMC includes 45 cardiologists working at the academic medical center in New Orleans as part of our nationally recognized cardiology group of 80 cardiologists practicing at nine locations across southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi as a member of the Ochsner Health’s John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute. Additionally, the Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Institute is a regional leader with heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, and dual organ transplantation.
