  • Our Gastroenterology team provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive, liver, and pancreatic conditions. We combine advanced diagnostics, state-of-the-art procedures, and a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

    Clinical Services:

    Gastroenterology Consultations We provide expert evaluation and management for:

    • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and dysphagia
    • Peptic ulcer disease (PUD) and celiac disease
    • Abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
    • Diverticulosis, diverticulitis, anemia, chronic constipation, and chronic diarrhea

    Hepatology Our hepatology services include care for:

    • Fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
    • Autoimmune hepatitis
    • Hepatitis B and C
    • Cirrhosis and alcoholic liver disease

    Pancreatic Disorders We manage conditions such as:

    • Acute and chronic pancreatitis
    • Pancreatic insufficiency

    Endoscopic & Procedural Services

    Our endoscopy unit offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures:

    • Upper Endoscopy (EGD): Biopsy, dilation, variceal banding, and PEG tube placement
    • Colonoscopy: Biopsy, polypectomy, resection of large polyps, colorectal cancer screening, and surveillance for polyps
    • ERCP: Treatment for common bile duct (CBD) stones and other biliary or pancreatic interventions

    Multidisciplinary Care

    We work closely with our surgical, Interventional radiology, anesthesia, hepatobiliary, and oncology teams to ensure seamless, coordinated care. When specialized management is required, patients can be referred directly within our health system—often without the need for additional primary care authorization.

    Education & Research

    As part of an academic medical center, our faculty are actively involved in teaching and research. We train medical students and residents from both medicine and surgery, offering hands-on clinical experience and formal didactic sessions.
