Job Summary:
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Froedtert Hospital are seeking a dedicated and accomplished Transplant Hepatologist to join our expanding Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice advanced hepatology in a collaborative academic environment while teaching, mentoring, and engaging in research within a nationally recognized transplant center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a full-time faculty member within the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology and the Department of Medicine.
- Provide comprehensive transplant and general hepatology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in the development of a Transplant Hepatology Fellowship and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary transplant team including surgeons, hepatologists, APPs, and fellows.
- Participate in inpatient rounding (approximately 1:7 weeks) and outpatient clinics, including endoscopy sessions.
- Contribute to research, teaching, quality improvement, and administrative initiatives, with protected time for scholarly work and leadership.
Qualifications (Required):
- MD or DO degree and completion of residency in Internal Medicine, fellowship in Gastroenterology, and additional training in Transplant Hepatology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology (or eligible for CAQ in Transplant Hepatology).
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Demonstrated interest or experience in academic practice, teaching, and research.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, high-volume environment.
- Leadership experience or interest in program development and outreach expansion.
