Gastroenterologist - Signature Healthcare - Brockton Mass

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat patients with conditions affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic abilities, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. This role involves performing procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies, as well as management of chronic GI diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients with GI tract and liver disorders including but not limited to GERD, IBS, IBD, hepatitis, ulcers, and colon cancer.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as:
• Upper and lower endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy)
• Polypectomy
• Esophageal dilation
• Capsule endoscopy
• ERCP (if applicable)
• Interpret results from diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, imaging studies, and lab tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and dietitians, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients about GI health, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations, departmental meetings, and continuing education.

Qualified Candidates:

•           MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

•           Completion of an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship.

•           Board certification (or board eligibility) in Gastroenterology.
