Quick Facts

• Mon - Fri, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm -- one week per month
• Weekend call -- Fri 4:30 pm - Mon 7:30 am, once per month
• Call ratio: 1:4 -- beeper call, 15 - 30 min response time
• 10 - 15 patients per shift
• Inpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Upper GI endoscopy, cautery, variceal injection, and PEG required
• ERCP not required
