β Position Highlights
β Provide compassionate, comprehensive care for GI and hepatology patients
β Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
β Participate in educational programs, quality assurance initiatives, and clinical research
β Collaborate with an interprofessional team of 8 physicians, 3 APPs, 2 RNs, and a fully staffed endoscopy suite
β Work in state-of-the-art facilities with Olympus endoscopes and modern endoscopy suites
π₯ Facilities & Academic Affiliation
- Endoscopy suites at Audie Murphy Hospital and ambulatory surgery center
- Affiliation with UT Health San Antonio for teaching and research
- Opportunities for adjunct faculty appointment and scholarly activities
β VA Physician Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- MD or DO degree from accredited institution (or ECFMG-certified foreign equivalent)
- Full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Residency Training: Completion of ACGME-approved program
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Gastroenterology & Hepatology
- English Proficiency
- Must meet VA physical standards and pass background/security clearance

- Salary: $380,000 β $400,000 annually

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP):
β Up to $40,000 per year tax-free for 5 years
