ARK is seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient coverage. The provider will perform endoscopic procedures, manage admissions, and round on patients as part of the GI service.

• Setting: Inpatient Hospital
• Patients per shift: ~15
• Department beds: 99
• Rounding: Yes, inpatient rounding required
• Admissions: Required
• Stroke-certified hospital: yes

Required procedures:

• Upper GI Endoscopy: with biopsy and with foreign body removal
• Colonoscopy: with biopsy and with excision of polyp

Preferred procedures:

• Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder
• Injection of varices
• Small bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy
