Norton Children’s Allergy & Immunology, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Allergist/Immunologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
This position includes a faculty appointment within the University of Louisville’s Division of Pulmonology, Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics. The physician will care for children with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, from common disorders to complex diseases, while contributing to clinical care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of pediatric allergic and immunologic conditions
- Provide primarily outpatient care in a state-of-the-art pediatric specialty center
- Provide inpatient immunology consultation services at Norton Children’s Hospital
- Manage complex conditions, including:
- Difficult-to-control asthma
- Eosinophilic esophagitis
- Immune deficiency disorders
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics for complex patient care
- Provide immunology services as part of Western Kentucky’s newborn screening program
- Collaborate closely with pulmonology, specialty providers, and allied health professionals
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certified or board eligible in Allergy & Immunology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Kentucky
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and/or research preferred
