SSM Health SLUCare Physician Group, the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Allergist/Immunologist to join our expanding Division of Allergy & Immunology. This is an exciting opportunity for an academically oriented physician interested in clinical excellence, teaching, and helping build a growing program within a major academic health system.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to advancing Allergy and Immunology care, research, and education. The role includes outpatient clinical practice, supervision of fellows/residents/medical students, and the opportunity to contribute to clinical research or quality improvement projects. Candidates with an interest in program development, subspecialty focus areas, or leadership within the division are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality outpatient care in Allergy & Immunology for pediatric and/or adult populations (depending on training)
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, chronic urticaria, atopic dermatitis, drug allergy, anaphylaxis, primary immunodeficiencies, and other immune-mediated disorders
  • Perform and interpret allergy testing (skin testing, patch testing, pulmonary function testing, oral food/drug challenges)
  • Provide immunotherapy services and guide patients in advanced therapeutic options
  • Participate in teaching activities for fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Contribute to scholarly efforts, including clinical research, QI projects, publications, or educational innovation
  • Collaborate across departments such as Pulmonology, ENT, Dermatology, and Rheumatology to support comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities within the division (minimal outpatient-focused call)
  • Support program growth and help shape the future direction of the Allergy & Immunology service line within SLUCare

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Allergy & Immunology fellowship
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy & Immunology
  • Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure
  • Strong interest in academic practice, including teaching and scholarly activity
  • Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care

Faculty Appointment:

Academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) will be commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
