Seeking Pathologist in East Tennessee

The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN is searching for a Pathologist (Hematopathology) for the Path and Lab Service Line. The incumbent will report directly to the Service Chief of Path and Lab. Board Certification in Hematopathology is highly desired.
Clinical Duties:
The pathologist will participate in Surgical Pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology (bone marrow, peripheral blood, lymph node), and clinical pathology services. The work assignment will depend upon training, expertise, competency, specialist training, and certification. The service is affiliated with East Tennessee State University and the pathologist is required to teach the pathology residents in clinical and anatomical pathology. Experience in teaching residents is preferred. Performs other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must be board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition, a solid background as a generalist in surgical pathology and cytopathology with either documented long-term experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears, or be hematopathology fellowship trained and either board-certified, or board eligible in hematopathology is required.
