Job Summary:

University Retina, a premier full-service practice specializing in retinal, vitreous, and macular diseases, is seeking a Fellowship-trained Retina Surgeon to join our growing team. With offices in Oak Forest, Bedford Park, Lemont, and Lombard, Illinois, this is an exciting full-time opportunity based primarily in our Oak Forest and Downers Grove locations. The ideal candidate will provide advanced surgical and clinical care while collaborating with a highly respected team of retina specialists and ophthalmologists. Supported by EyeSouth Partners, this role offers access to state-of-the-art technology, a significant established surgical volume, and a clear partnership track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of retinal, vitreous, and macular diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments
• Perform advanced retinal surgeries and procedures with precision and excellence
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice locations to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
• Manage an already significant patient base while growing surgical and clinical volume
• Leverage EHR and advanced diagnostic technology for accurate documentation and workflow efficiency
• Stay current with evolving retinal therapies, surgical advancements, and evidence-based practices
• Contribute to practice growth, patient education, and potential teaching opportunities

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Fellowship-trained in Retina Surgery
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical license in Illinois
• Excellent surgical and clinical skills with the ability to manage high-acuity cases
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership qualities
