Job Requirements:

1. Board Certified in Ophthalmology
2. Fellowship in refractive/cataract surgery
3. NV state license (required prior to start)

Job Details:

• Private, independent practice providing Office Based Surgery (OBS) and associated with a fully equipped Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Team includes one physician and three optometrists
• Schedule: Primarily consultations with some surgical days, typically every other Monday and every Wednesday. Every other week includes a 4-day weekend to help balance caseload and personal time.
• Case mix: Focus on refractive, cataract, and LASIK procedures, with general ophthalmology as needed. The balance of cases can be tailored to your skills and interests.
• Patient volume: 30–40 evaluation patients per day
• Surgical volume: 20–30 cases per surgery day at the ASC (every other Monday and every Wednesday)
• Optometrist collaboration: Optometrists manage routine glaucoma care; surgical cases (MIGS, iDose, etc.) are referred to the surgeon
• Referral process: Incoming surgeon will have time to build relationships with local ODs. Referral volume will grow with trust and patient outcomes
• General ophthalmology: Routine cases handled by ODs; complex and surgical cases managed by MDs
