What You’ll Do (When a Role Becomes Available):
- Conduct timely, remote reviews of medical necessity for prior authorization requests
- Use evidence-based criteria and your clinical expertise to guide determinations
- Document decisions clearly and efficiently using structured templates
- Participate in peer-to-peer calls with treating physicians when needed
- Support special projects or process improvements that enhance care quality and operational efficiency
Ideal Future Candidate:
- MD or DO, board-certified in your specialty
- Completed a US-based residency
- Hold a current, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- 5+ years of clinical experience post-training
- Previous experience with utilization management or peer review is a plus, but not required

Compensation Details
$135-165/hour
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $270,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
