Purpose/Summary The PACE MD/DO (Family Medicine and/or Internal Medicine) supports Golden Valley Health Centers’ mission by overseeing the Central Valley PACE program across Modesto Areas. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through provider leadership, effective communication, and oversight of clinical operations and committees. Responsibilities include supervision of care delivery, policy development, patient and employee satisfaction, provider productivity, and maintaining a safe environment. The provider also collaborates on special projects, operational improvements, and provider development to achieve excellence in team-based care.
Operational/Leadership Duties
- Oversees care delivery, clinical outcomes, and medical services.
- Provides leadership in developing medical policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
- Directs Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and corrective action plans.
- Trains and supports interdisciplinary teams; develops provider education programs.
- Collaborates with training and contract management on workflow, coding (HCC), care planning, and provider communications.
- Conducts chart audits to ensure compliance with PACE regulations and documentation standards.
- Leads performance evaluations for Primary Care Physicians.
- Represents PACE programs to external, professional, and regulatory organizations.
- Ensures appropriate supervision and mentorship of NPs, PAs, and physicians per GVHC standards and regulations.
- Demonstrates required competencies and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Clinical Duties
- Provides at least 10 hours/week of direct outpatient care.
- Delivers comprehensive, patient-centered primary care.
- Ensures compliance with clinical protocols, personnel policies, and supervision requirements (including chart sign-off for NP/PAs).
- Participates in medical staff meetings and assigned committees.
- Supervises NP/PA staff and serves as a preceptor when needed.
- Monitors patient status and reports changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintains active membership in relevant professional organizations.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Licensed MD or DO; Board Certified/Eligible in Primary Care specialty.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership/administrative role.
- At least 1 year of experience with frail, elderly, or long-term care populations.
- Minimum 2 years in a managed care environment, including experience with utilization review, quality management, performance improvement, credentialing, peer review, and physician leadership.

Compensation Details
$265K–$345K
