  • We seek a Value Based Care Physician Leader to support a growing team in Houston. As a leader, you will partern with other Physician Leaders and Regional Leaders to drive HEDIS and quality-focused patient outcomes with a provider team who manage the chronic conditions of our high-risk Medicare patients Monday - Friday.

    Job Description

    The Medical Pod Leader will be the clinical leader responsible for the clinical performance of clinical pod team members – to include: Accurate diagnosis and documentation, quality, patient experience, affordability, patient safety, clinical team dynamics, and provider productivity. The pod leader will be tasked with developing and maintaining close working relationships with all clinical team members in the clinical pod. The pod leader will also function as the collaborating physician for associated pod advanced practice providers (APPs). This position will have a dyad partnership with the Market Manager and market office staff.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
    • Active CPR Certification
    • Unrestricted DEA
    • Completion of an accredited Residency Program
    • Unrestricted Medical License
    • Board certification is required for all newly hired or promoted on or after January 1, 2026; must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with organizational and applicable regulatory standards.
    • 3 years of experience as a Physician collaborating with Advance Practice Providers
    • Experience in Geriatrics or complex patients

    Compensation Details

    Exempt salary with performance review merit increases annually Quality-based performance bonus paid annual (includes collaboration stipend for each APP report, earn 30% cut of what each APP makes in their annual quality bonus, plus performance of your quality outcomes with your small panel) 10 paid holidays 4 weeks vacation in 2nd year (3-weeks first year) Licensure, DEA & Professional Membership Reimbursements 5-days Paid-time-off for CMEs + $3,000 reimbursement
