Physician Leadership Opportunities – Multiple Virginia Locations
Springfield | Richmond | Virginia Beach
HarmonyCares is seeking experienced physicians to join our growing home-based primary care practice in multiple Virginia markets.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to combine direct patient care with meaningful clinical leadership, this role offers the opportunity to influence both patient outcomes and the clinicians delivering care—without the pace and volume demands of a traditional office-based practice.
Our physician leaders partner closely with operations and provide clinical leadership to a team of Advanced Practice Providers. This is a true dyad leadership model, with up to approximately 50% of your time dedicated to leadership responsibilities, depending on the needs of the market.
As a physician leader with HarmonyCares, you’ll help:
- Mentor and support Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Drive clinical quality and patient outcomes
- Partner with operational leadership on market performance
- Promote clinical best practices and provider engagement
- Help shape the delivery of home-based primary
Additionally, our physicians are still able to practice hands on medicine, caring for a small panel of elderly, medically complex patients where they really need the care: their homes.
When seeing patients, physicians typically have:
- Approximately 5–8 patient visits per day
- 30–60 minutes per visit
- Smaller, geographically clustered patient panels
- Support from an interdisciplinary team
- A Monday–Friday schedule
- A value-based model focused on outcomes rather than visit volume
Why HarmonyCares?
HarmonyCares has been providing home-based medical care since 1993. Today, we care for patients with complex clinical and social needs who often face significant barriers to accessing traditional healthcare.
Our model gives physicians the time, resources, and interdisciplinary support to care for the whole patient—not simply address the reason for a 15-minute office visit.
Providers are supported by a broader care team that may include Advanced Practice Providers, Nurse Care Managers, Medical Assistants, social services, scheduling support, and other clinical resources.
