The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Geriatric Section Head within the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Care. Based in Charleston, this is an opportunity to lead a growing program and develop a system-wide strategy for exceptional care for older adults across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care and home-based settings.
This role offers the chance to influence the full continuum of geriatric care while advancing MUSC’s academic mission. The Section Head will guide the clinical vision for the program, support multidisciplinary collaboration and help shape a thoughtful approach to meeting the needs of an aging patient population. As a faculty leader, this physician will also mentor medical students, residents, fellows and junior faculty, helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The selected leader will have the flexibility to tailor their clinical schedule and may explore a dual appointment with the Charleston VA, including opportunities for research collaboration.
