The Warrensburg, MO VA Clinic is currently recruiting for a Primary Care Physician located in Warrensburg, MO. Board certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is not required but preferred. You will be responsible for providing primary care for a diverse group of veterans.
This role is responsible for but not limited to diagnosing, treating and managing patients with typical primary care (including the routine care of women patients) conditions and complete thorough work ups prior to specialty consultation according to usual and acceptable or customary standards of medical practice. The provider will follow VA established clinical and preventive guidelines and document accordingly. The physician will report to the Primary Care Service Section Lead. The physician will work independently, caring for outpatients in an established clinic. Specialists and other primary care providers are available for consultation. The physician shall be expected to cooperate and collaborate fully with other staff members in meeting the medical care needs of VAMC patients. The physician is accountable for health care outcomes, ethical practice, peer review, and continued professional development to support the mission of the Veterans Health Administration.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Tour of Duty: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Due to the nature of the work, the physician may occasionally be required to stay later than 4:30p.m., as required.

Compensation Details
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Work Schedule: Regular
