MUSC Health Primary Care – Thurgood Marshall, located in Kingstree, South Carolina, is seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) trained in Family Medicine to join its well-established, community-focused practice.

This is an ideal role for a physician who values community connection, autonomy, and access to academic-level resources—all while living less than two hours from South Carolina’s beautiful beaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality outpatient care to patients across all ages in a family medicine setting.
• Deliver preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care services.
• Collaborate with a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant and multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize Epic EHR with physician-centered optimization and Nuance DAX Copilot to streamline documentation.
• Participate in MUSC Health’s ongoing initiatives to advance quality improvement and population health.
• Support the organization’s mission to expand access to care in rural South Carolina communities.

Work Environment & Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Minimal call responsibilities.
• Average 20–25 patients per day.
• Lab and point-of-care testing onsite for comprehensive, efficient patient care.
