We invite you to consider an exciting opportunity to join the Geisinger Kistler Family Medicine Residency Program in Wilkes-Barre, PA as a Core Faculty Physician. We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with 3+ years of experience who is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of family physicians.

As a Core Faculty member, you will:

• Deliver full-spectrum family medicine care
• Teach, mentor, and provide formative feedback to residents
• Collaborate on curriculum development and evaluation
• Participate in recruitment, didactics, simulation training, and mentoring
• Contribute to program administration (CCC, PEC, GME activities)
• Complete the annual ACGME Faculty Survey

Residency Program Highlights:

• Established: 2007 | Length: 3 years | Residents per year: 6
• Accreditation: ACGME-accredited; meets ABOFP and ABFM requirements
• Training Sites: Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre & Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center
• Virtually unopposed: Minimal specialty competition during inpatient experiences
• Continuity of care: Residents manage their own patient panels

Curriculum Overview:

• PGY-1: Inpatient focus
• PGY-2: OB, home visits, nursing home care
• PGY-3: Tailored training for independent practice
