  • The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our academic faculty team at Appleton, WI. This role offers a dynamic balance of patient care, resident and student teaching, and scholarly engagement, ideal for physicians passionate about academic medicine and community health. The position may include obstetrics (OB) depending on candidate preference and qualifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive family medicine care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Option to include obstetrical care (prenatal, delivery, postpartum) based on physician interest.
    • Precept and mentor residents and medical students in clinical and academic environments.
    • Participate in call rotation and weekend inpatient rounding as part of a collaborative care team.
    • Engage in curriculum development, scholarly projects, and quality improvement initiatives in alignment with ACGME standards.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient-centered, evidence-based care.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with institutional, state, and federal standards.
    • Contribute to a culture of professionalism, inclusion, and continuous learning within MCW’s teaching environment.

    Qualifications (Required):

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
    • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency program.
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
    • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Wisconsin.

    Qualifications (Preferred):

    • Interest or experience in academic teaching, mentorship, or scholarly work.
    • Experience or comfort providing obstetric care (for OB-eligible applicants).
    • Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives or practice improvement projects.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Full-time academic appointment on the Clinician-Educator pathway.
    • Flexible schedule with shared call rotation and support from a collaborative residency team.
    • Practice based at Town Hall Health Center, affiliated with Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital.
