General Surgeon for MS Delta Community 1:3 call

Bolivar Medical Center, located in Cleveland, MS, is recruiting an additional General Surgeon to join our employed established team. We are a 164-bed general acute care hospital and are a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency department services. Our specialists do more than treat illness and injury. About the position:

1. Clinic Hours: 8a-5p M-F
2. Schedule: 36 patient care hours 4 admin; Clinic two full days, designated clinic/surgery days
3. Call: 1:3 plus opportunity to pick up additional call/pay
4. Average # of patients seen per day: 20-25 patients per day (when ramped)
5. Hospital employment
6. Joining 2 General Surgeons (1 full-time, 1 part-time, 1 one weekend/month)
7. Bread & Butter procedures
8. No robotics
9. Scopes required
10. Covering one hospital only with all surgeries and scopes done at the hospital
11. No trauma
12. Hospitalist team for admissions

Our General Surgery team has 70 years’ combined experience and provides strong mentorship.

Qualifications:

1. BE/BC in General Surgery
2. Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of MS and DEA with full prescriptive authority
