Rochester Regional Health is seeking an experienced General Surgeon to join a well-established, community-based surgical program serving patients at Unity Hospital. Rooted in the communities we serve, this role is ideal for a surgeon with independent practice experience who values clinical autonomy, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care across every stage of life.

The Opportunity
Clinical Practice
- Maintain a busy, well-supported general surgery practice covering inpatient, outpatient, elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
- Provide general surgery consultative services, including Emergency Department coverage.
- Participate in a 1:4 call rotation with clear expectations and reliable support.
- Work within streamlined clinical operations that allow you to focus on patient care.
- Serve as one with fellow surgeons, APPs, and care teams, contributing to a collaborative and respectful clinical environment.
Program & Team Support
- Practice within a system that cares like family, offering strong OR resources, dedicated surgical teams, and robust ancillary support.
- Contribute to a culture that values shared accountability, open communication, and mutual respect.
- Offer informal guidance and collaboration that supports team growth and high-quality care delivery.
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO, Board Certified in General Surgery.
- Minimum of 3 years of independent General Surgery practice experience (required).
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
- Broad general surgery skill set aligned with community-based practice.

Compensation Details
$400-450k
Benefits * Sign-on bonus and full relocation assistance. * Comprehensive benefits including malpractice coverage, health plans, retirement options, and a defined pension plan. * Generous PTO and CME stipend. Pay Transparency Provider compensation may include base salary plus variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. *In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.* PAY RANGE: $400,000.00 - $450,000.00 *The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience,* *clinical licensure date*, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
