Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Surgical Oncologist to join our staff.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. 

 

Job Description & Responsibilities

·           Join an established group of 15 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians

·           Complement and Expanding Existing Programs treating hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer,

         esophageal, gastric cancer, endocrine cancer, skin cancer and sarcoma

·            Certified Cancer Treatment Center based in Cooperstown with multiple regional centers for diagnostic and treatment options

·            180 Bed Primary Hospital based in Cooperstown with Level III Trauma Center

·            Instant Referral Base provided by over 500 Network Clinicians

·            Full Support Staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction

·            Travel for regional patient care required

·            State of the Art OR’s including DaVinci Surgical System

·            Salary: $475,000-$625,000 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

·            Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.  Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Job Qualifications

·         MD, DO or MBBS

·         Board Eligible or Board Certified

·         NYS Licensure

·         BLS Certification Required

·         DEA Required
