Ochsner Rush Medical Center - Meridian Rush Foundation Hospital is a 215-bed facility (founded in 1915) and part of Rush Health Systems, which includes seven hospitals and 50+ specialty and primary care practices serving communities across East Central Mississippi and West Alabama.

Family Birth Center (recently renovated)

• 18 Labor & Delivery suites designed so mothers can experience all phases of the birthing process in one room
• Midwifery services available
• Modern 12-bed NICU
• Approximately 1,000 deliveries annually

Meridian offers a welcoming community with easy access to larger cities and weekend getaways:

• ~1.5 hours to Jackson
• ~2 hours to Birmingham and Mobile
• ~3.5 hours to Alabama Gulf beaches (Dauphin Island, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores)

Local highlights include a historic downtown (including the Threefoot Building and the restored MSU Riley Center), The MAX (Mississippi Arts & Entertainment Experience), and outdoor recreation at Highland Park and Bonita Lakes. Meridian also hosts the State Games of Mississippi, a large annual multi-sport event.

We’re seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist to join a collaborative team supporting a well-established, high-quality Birth Center. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who enjoy inpatient-focused women’s care in a modernized L&D setting with NICU support.
