Job Summary: Leading and overseeing the network Women’s Health inpatient and outpatient departments, ensuring quality patient care, developing and implementing departmental policies, and managing medical staff, resources and operations in collaboration with nursing and operations leadership. This position also includes providing direct patient care to Women’s Health patients in the hospital and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the medical staff within the OB/GYN department.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the department.
  • Collaborate on the department's budget and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Quality and Patient Experience:

· Ensure that the medical care provided is evidence-based and meets the highest standards. This includes monitoring providers to ensure timely documentation, proper patient care, and adherence to clinical guidelines.

· Focus on improving patient satisfaction and the overall quality of care.

  • Develop and introduce approved standards and guidelines for OB/GYN services and programs.
  • Actively lead, participate and collaborate with medical staff to identify and resolve opportunities related to quality and service.
  • Operational Management:
  • Plan, organize, and direct the department's operations and programs both at the hospital and with the Inspira Medical Group Women’s Health practices.
  • Coordinating service coverage and overseeing provider schedules.
  • Oversee and report on the department's results for senior management.
  • Participation in budget development and responsible for the department’s fiscal management to achieve organizational goals.
  • Professional Development:
  • Identify training and development needs for staff and implement appropriate programs.
  • Stay current with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, advanced practice providers, staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments and organizations to improve patient care.
  • Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Recruiting new providers, managing the onboarding process, and ensuring that the team is adequately staffed to meet the needs of our patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Experience: Greater than seven years practicing in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably with leadership or healthcare management experience. Experience as a surgeon performing robotic surgery required.
  • Licensure and Certification: Must be licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong problem-solving abilities to address clinical and administrative challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and leaders within the organization to align goals and improve overall healthcare delivery

Compensation is based on experience including the candidate's number of years post-residency, fellowships, and leadership positions.
