Job Summary:
Norton Children’s Radiology, affiliated with the University of Louisville (UofL) School of Medicine and part of Norton Children’s Medical Group, is seeking fellowship trained Pediatric Radiologists to join a growing, collaborative team across multiple subspecialties. This opportunity offers flexibility with two distinct career tracks—clinical or academic—within a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare system. Physicians will work in a state-of-the-art environment alongside highly specialized pediatric radiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and technologists, delivering high-quality imaging and care to a diverse pediatric population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret a broad range of pediatric imaging studies across multiple modalities
- Collaborate with over 700 pediatric specialty and subspecialty providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary care and consultative services
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
- (Academic track) Engage in research, medical education, and scholarly activities
- Supervise and mentor trainees, residents, and fellows as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Work Environment & Technology: Newly renovated pediatric radiology facilities with advanced imaging capabilities
Equipment includes:
- Two MRI units, including a 3 Tesla (3T) MRI
- Two 256-slice CT scanners
- SPECT scanner
- Biplane interventional suite
- Fluoroscopy and digital X-ray technology (low radiation)
- Ultrasound elastography
- FerriScan for liver and cardiac iron quantification
- Advanced cardiac CT and MRI for congenital heart disease evaluation
- Practice across multiple sites, including Norton Children’s Hospital and affiliated facilities
- Collaborative partnership with UofL interventional radiology team
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $502,000 – $545,000 (based on experience) + productivity bonus
- Sign-on bonus: $45,000
- Relocation assistance: $15,000 – $25,000
- Fellowship recruitment incentive: up to $100,000
- Retention bonus (experienced candidates): up to $60,000
- Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) (501(c)(3) organization)
- 45 days PTO + 7 paid holidays (prorated by FTE)
