SSM Health Fond du Lac is seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Neurosurgeon to join our established and thriving neurosurgery practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surgeon looking to build a balanced practice with significant growth potential in a supportive, well-equipped environment.

Position Highlights

Practice Composition:

  • 80% outpatient clinic
  • 20% inpatient surgical cases
  • Surgical volume: 10-20 procedures per month with room for growth
  • Call schedule: 1:3 rotation in Fond du Lac
  • Call responsibilities include ER and inpatient coverage for urgent and emergent neurosurgery cases

Clinic Schedule:

  • 30 minutes allocated for new patient consultations
  • 15 minutes for established patient follow-ups
  • Current provider sees 20 patients in clinic twice weekly
  • New patients typically book out 1 month
  • Surgical cases book out 1 month
  • 1.0 FTE / 32 Contact Hours (81/2 days)

Surgical Procedures

The successful candidate will perform a comprehensive range of neurosurgical procedures, including:

Spine Surgery:

  • Anterior cervical discectomy with fusion (ACDF)
  • Anterior cervical total disc arthroplasty
  • Posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF)
  • Laminectomy with posterior lumbar fusion
  • Posterior thoracic fusion
  • Lumbar laminectomy/decompression
  • Lumbar laminotomy/discectomy

Cranial Surgery:

  • Craniectomy/craniotomy procedures
  • Ventriculo-peritoneal shunt insertion

  • Board-Certified
  • Neurosurgery fellowship training required
  • Active or eligible for Wisconsin medical licensure
