  • The Neurosurgeon will join the Neurosurgery service line to provide comprehensive care for patients with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and skull base. This includes advanced and minimally invasive spine surgery, neuro-vascular and skull base procedures, adult spinal deformity (scoliosis) treatment.

    • Established practice with opportunity to quickly develop busy clinic
    • 6 physicians, 6 APPs, 13 support staff
    • Opportunity to be involved with (future)residency program.
    • ~225 cases annually. 70% spine, 30% cranial
    • 1 clinic day per week, 2 OR blocks per week
    • 20 patients per clinic day & 2-3 procedures per OR block
    • Dedicated neuro ICU with 10 beds
    • Only covering one hospital, University Medical Center
    • Regional Referral Center: UMC serves as a trusted referral hub for Lubbock and the surrounding communities across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico with a diverse and consistent patient volume.

    Work Setting:

    • Clinic, OR, EM, academic rooms all located in same complex
    • Cerner EMR (moving to EPIC in 2026).
    • Spine navi-two second gen O-arms, 3 Medtronic S8 Stealth work stations. stryker nav with cranial applications, two Penteros and one Kinevo which has 5-ALA capability, Jackson tables, 2 bi planes, TrueBeam gamma knife, 24/7 interoperative neuro monitoring

    On-site support: APPs, CMAs, CRNAs, clinic manager, CMA, RN
