Complex Spine Neurosurgeon | $1M+ starting comp | $2.5M+ Partner Earnings (< 2 yr track) | Sign-on + Relocation
Tallahassee, FL
TNC Brain & Spine (AKA Tallahassee Neurological Clinic)
Job Highlights
Full-time; Tallahassee, FL
Tallahassee Neurological Clinic is seeking a fellowship-trained Complex Spine Neurosurgeon to join one of North Florida's most respected private neurosurgery practices — where your income is uncapped, your schedule is structured around surgical volume, and your path to practice ownership starts on day one.
The Perks
- Exceptional Earning Trajectory: $1M+ starting compensation for experienced surgeons. Compensation increases Year 2 as your bonus ramp increases. By Year 3, partners earn 100% of net income above expenses — with $2M+ achievable for high-producing surgeons. No cap. No ceiling.
- Sign-on Incentives: sing-on bonus and relocation package
- True Practice Ownership: Less than 2-year partnership track with one of the lowest buy-ins in the specialty (~$50,000). Upon partnership, you receive 100% of net income above expenses with no limits.
- Dedicated NP Support: Each surgeon works with a dedicated nurse practitioner in clinic, in the OR, and on call — built-in support from day one.
- Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical coverage through Capital Health Plan (HMO, $0 deductible); Dental and Vision through Guardian/VSP. Short-term disability, long-term disability, and long-term care are all fully paid by Tallahassee Neurological Clinic. Basic Life/AD&D of $200,000 provided at no cost for physicians.
The Opportunity
- Private Practice on Your Terms: This is a true eat-what-you-kill model with no RVU quotas, no administrative obligations, and no academic requirements. You work as hard as you want and earn accordingly.
- Complex Cases, Real Volume: Two clinic days per week (approximately 25-30 patients per day) and three OR days per week, averaging 1-2 complex spine cases per day. General neurosurgery cases round out your surgical week.
- Prestigious, Stable Team: Join a collaborative group with exceptional tenure and a genuine investment in the success of every surgeon they bring in.
- Regional Destination Practice: TNC is the most comprehensive neurological practice in North Florida, spanning neurosurgery, neurology, and pain management
- Academic Without the Overhead: Optional research and teaching opportunities through the TMH/FSU Health affiliation. Participate as much or as little as fits your goals.
Living in Tallahassee, FL
- Affordable Florida: Low cost of living compared to Miami, Tampa, and Orlando — with all of the Florida lifestyle and none of the price tag. Income goes substantially further here than in any other major Florida market.
- The Other Florida: Rolling hills, canopy roads, a vibrant university community (FSU, FAMU), and Southern hospitality that surprises every candidate who visits.
- Coastal Access: The Gulf of Mexico is roughly 90 minutes away. World-class beaches without living on top of them.
- Capital City Energy: Home to Florida State University and the seat of state government — a mid-sized city with outsized culture, dining, arts, and community. An exceptional place to raise a family.
What You'll Bring
- Fellowship training in complex spine neurosurgery
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
- Comfortable performing general neurosurgery cases alongside complex spine work
- Eligible for Florida medical license
- A commitment to private practice and long-term ownership in a market that has demand and room to grow
