Associate Medical Director, Oncology Services

Position Highlights

• Practice primarily General Hematology/Oncology with the option to incorporate subspecialty interests.
• Based in Peoria, Illinois, serving a growing regional cancer program.
• Flexible and negotiable call schedule.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, nurse navigators, genetics, nutrition, and social work.
• Participate in weekly disease-specific tumor boards and coordinated cancer care planning.
• Access comprehensive on-site oncology services, including advanced imaging, pathology, infusion, and radiation oncology.
• EPIC EMR with Beacon oncology module.
• Opportunity to participate in clinical research and academic initiatives through Carle Health's partnership with the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Support recruitment and growth of the Hematology/Oncology program.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and community partners to strengthen regional cancer services.
• Identify opportunities for program development and outreach.
• Serve as a physician leader for oncology services in Carle Health's West Region.
• Participate in marketing and community engagement activities.
• Report directly to the Medical Director, Carle Cancer Institute.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Minimum of three years post-fellowship experience preferred.
• Interest in leadership, program development, and multidisciplinary cancer care.
• Previous leadership experience welcomed but not required.
