Position Highlights
- Practice primarily General Hematology/Oncology with the option to incorporate subspecialty interests.
- Based in Peoria, Illinois, serving a growing regional cancer program.
- Flexible and negotiable call schedule.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, nurse navigators, genetics, nutrition, and social work.
- Participate in weekly disease-specific tumor boards and coordinated cancer care planning.
- Access comprehensive on-site oncology services, including advanced imaging, pathology, infusion, and radiation oncology.
- EPIC EMR with Beacon oncology module.
- Opportunity to participate in clinical research and academic initiatives through Carle Health's partnership with the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and growth of the Hematology/Oncology program.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and community partners to strengthen regional cancer services.
- Identify opportunities for program development and outreach.
- Serve as a physician leader for oncology services in Carle Health's West Region.
- Participate in marketing and community engagement activities.
- Report directly to the Medical Director, Carle Cancer Institute.

Qualifications
- BC/BE in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
- Minimum of three years post-fellowship experience preferred.
- Interest in leadership, program development, and multidisciplinary cancer care.
- Previous leadership experience welcomed but not required.
